Domains with and without www
Domains with and without www
Solution
Technically a domain with the www and without the www are two different domains and can be directed to different web pages. So when the Links and PR are measured they are measured using a specific format of the URL.
However, if you park the domain with a company like Sedo by changing its DNS settings or if you forward the domain to an existing website all of the traffic, whether directed to
www.domain.com
or just
domain.com
will end up in the same place.
